A full-length album is already in the works for 2026, bringing his signature production into sharper focus - proof that Sola Rosa remains one of New Zealand’s most dynamic and enduring artists.

Formed in the heart of Hawke’s Bay, the band quickly became a cornerstone of the local music scene, building a devoted following through their residency gigs in Napier and Wellington and unforgettable marathon live shows. Their electrifying performances have lit up stages at iconic events like Waiheke Island Jazz, Toast Martinborough, and they even scored the coveted opening slot for funk legends Tower of Power.

Mon Shelford is a proudly multicultural artist now based in Hawke’s Bay, bringing her soulful voice and heartfelt songwriting to the local music scene. After getting her start in Melbourne—where a chance encounter while busking led to the recording of her debut album Belmar Sessions—she’s returned to Aotearoa with a sound that blends roots, R&B, and soul with warmth and authenticity. With a natural flair for performance and songs that carry both groove and meaning, Mon has quickly become a standout presence in the Bay’s growing music community.
